A good friend of mine from high school days got in touch with me July last year saying she and her hubby were planning on renewing their vows. This is something Jenni wanted to do as she didn’t have that many good photos of her wedding and she just found out she was pregnant with their first child before she walked down the isle…plus she’s a bit of a romantic so this was an important thing she wanted to do. I gave Jenni grief about her choice of photographer for her wedding saying “Jenni, you should never get a friend to take your wedding photos!!”…..then realising….hang on that’s me still hahaha. Things got a bit interesting when I later told Jenni that I had recently found out I was pregnant with our second child which was due late august early September and her wedding was on the 16th September. I wasn’t too concerned though with my son coming 10 days early I thought maybe history would repeat itself…and it did somewhat with my baby Chloe arriving on the 20th August.
Jenni did a great job with her planning, she gave me the link to her pinterest page which showed me some ideas for photographs that she wanted to try which is fantastic, always keen to see what clients want to achieve with the shoot. I love the colour pallet she chose for the event, gold and navy.
They had their ceremony at the lovely Crown Plaza, Pokolbin. They had booked out a couple of the apartments their and had their ceremony near the wine country gazebo with their close family and friends looking on as they went through their vows for a second time after 8 years of marriage. Jenni looked stunning in her gold sequin dress and her young girls looked so pretty and were so stoked to be part of this event for their parents.
It was a fantastic day all round, the weather was fantastic, everyone was looking fabulous and a beautifully heartfelt ceremony with lots of love around from those special to them.
Many thanks to Jenni for asking me to document this special day for them. Who would have thought all these years later from our days at Oxley High that I would be behind the lens for you both on a day like this one….so special, many thanks
