Kate and Adam’s Engagement Shoot in Murrurundi

Last month I had the opportunity to do an engagement shoot in one of my favourite towns in the Upper Hunter, the lovely, artsy, always seems lushy green Murrurundi. This is the hometown of Kate and Adam who received and engagement shoot for a gift at Christmas time last year. Kate had tried to arrange to have the shoot done on a property of a family member but that fell through so she cleverly did some location scouting and found a real gem of a property just out of town. I couldn’t have asked for a better spot, she did so well I jokingly offered her a position as my location scout. I asked if we could start out at the Michael Reid Gallery in town as I really love the sandstone building and the gardens there. Unfortunately we weren’t able to use the whole grounds as they were finishing up their new gallery building and hadn’t cleared the site of anything hazardous so we were limited in the areas we could use but hey I’m grateful to be able to use any space there, its such a lovely spot. After getting some great shots there we headed out to this other property that was so picturesque with its lovely sandstone home, well kept gardens and gorgeous stables. Kate and Adam were real troopers throughout this shoot. Kate had warned me straight up that I might have some trouble with getting Adam comfortable with the whole process being in front of a camera but he did well I thought. I can imagine its a bit daunting if your not used to having photos taken. I wish Kate and Adam all the best for their future wedding planning….its a tough job but in the end it all comes together and it will be one of the best days of your life….you’ll see. Enjoy
